On January 18, 1989, Elim became a founding member of the Federation of Transparochial Catholic Charismatic Communities, organized under the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the Archdiocese of Manila, by His Eminence Jaime Cardinal Sin. (Elim Statutes)
In November 2008, Elim Communities was formally admitted as Associate Member of the Catholic Fraternity of Charismatic Covenant Communities and Fellowships, an international private association of members of the faithful having juridical personality in accordance with Canon 322 of the Code of Canon Law.
On July 28, 2009, Elim Communities was recognized as a national private association of the lay faithful, as issued by the Episcopal Commission for the Laity, Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines.
